Artificial intelligence–powered cameras are now operating in Minnesota for the first time to detect wildfires before they spread. Installed by Xcel Energy in Mankato and Clear Lake, the devices continuously scan for smoke and heat, providing real-time alerts to utilities and first responders for faster response times.
