Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is often cited as once saying, “Never trust a computer you can’t throw out a window.” Given that I doubt I can hurl the entire network that powers many AI systems out of the nearest window, I think I can be forgiven for putting little trust in the recent trend for artificial intelligence. As someone who has spent the vast majority of my life in front of a computer of some form, I know all too well that there is no true artificial intelligence.
