Lawmakers will return to the Capitol on Aug. 21 mainly to deal with the effects of the so-called big, beautiful bill, congressional Republicans’ federal tax and spending measure. They’ll also debate what to do about Colorado’s first-in-the-nation law, which is set to take effect in February.
