Lovo Inc., which offers artificial intelligence-powered voice generation services, has ducked a copyright infringement claim on the basis that AI-generated voice clones fall into a liability exclusion for imitations. But the company still faces New York Civil Rights Law claims that it used the “essence” of actors’ voices without consent.
